Treasurer Report: (no Carrie tonight, so these are last month’s balances, and new spending:
$4,287.76
$1,238.79
We spent $3,300 deposit for pier
We also, paid $110 county permit application
Pier Discussion:
Put in Deposit w KD Gross to start the pier work
We talked to Pier Permit Guy – The county no longer lets you grandfather anything within 15-foot setback, which our pier is inside that.
We had him submit paperwork in a way that makes the County tell us we cant do it rather than us telling the county. He said it may cost another $150 charge if he has to resubmit. But, I was like: “Let’s let the county tell us what we can’t do.”
He had redrawn the cut off section of the pier and moved it over to the right … We told him that we didn’t need to do that.
Price of pier will be negotiated between us and Gross, but it will be less square footage so it may come down a few dollars.
The paper work has been sent off.
At this point that’s about all we know.
Recap of pier arrangement for Joe and Anita:
Slip holders will pay $2,000 bond (Which they get back upon release of slip) plus $300 per year slip fee.
There are 4 people who want slips, if there is more interest, then we will have to go with seniority to decide.
Water and Electric at pier:
There is electric. But we need to do some repair to the pole.
We may be able to get a shallow, cheap well.
We need to replace the decking, but everything is under it is good.
We’ll get a crew out there to do the decking, as soon as we can after the rest of the pier goes up. 2x8x8 X 175
Another project to think about:
The road by Johnny’s is deteriorating, so we need to call the county and get that fixed.
Don – Joe Z., will you call the county and find out whether they will come out an plant grass.
They said that the will get a crew out to do something.
Other Business:
Yard sale? Anyone interested? – NO, not much interest.
Don – Loius told me that Connie’s people living on the boat are pumping raw sewage over board. There are 3 or more boats there at slips being rented out. They are living on the boats. Louis wanted us to write a letter to get them not to discharge stuff overboard. He confronted the guy on Sunday, which may solve the problem. So, I guess we’ll wait to see what happens.
Anita – I think that someone should go over there and have a private conversation with Connie. And give her a chance to rectify the situation. ALL AGREED in support of Anita’s comment.
YOU DO it, DON….(Anita said, pointing to Don.)
We put a motion on the floor and quickly seconded it….
Motion passed to nominate Don. All in FAVOR……approved … Don said he would follow through and go talk to Connie.
Other business:
-We do need to do something with the shed and the Gazeebo. We need to replace some 4x4s. But we need to fix it up. We’ll put it on hold for now because of finances.
-We may also ask KD gross about getting us some decking material. It will be several thousand dollars.
-We’ve got the cap material to cap the pilings. Bob provided the sheet metal. We just have to go out there and do it.
Any other issues? (No, only shedule next meeting)
Next meeting, we will just wait to see what the county says, and then we will call a meeting when we have some news. No complaints there.
Meeting Adjourned. 7:56pm
