- Checking 11,028.60
- Pier funds haven’t been moved due to covid

- Insurance, annual ($439)
- County stormwater fee, annual ($78.87)
- 15 properties x $100 year = $1500 per year
- Provided everyone pays
- Keep a reserve for unexpected expenses
- We do a lot of sweat equity to keep costs down
- Try to use donated materials whenever possible, purchased when necessary
Next meeting
- June 8th
Concerns
- Pier road condition
- Carrie has reached out to the county several times, but not gotten a response.
- Suggestion is that everyone calls to “encourage” them to fix the road
- Point of contact is Jessica Hare (Councilperson for our area)
- Bob has talked to the service workers and has a contact card. Will look for the info.
- Neighborhood Sign
- Definitely needs some work – wood rot
- Carrie got some contact info for people that do that kind of work. If we decide to keep the sign, she can reach out for an estimate for replacement/restoration.
- Question of whether we want to keep the sign
- Pro: It indicates to other people that the neighborhood and our pier are private property.
- If being kept, we need to organize a project to refresh the damaged wood.
- Likely will need 8-10 6x6s
- Greg volunteers to do a magician “table cloth trick” with the dirt in the enclosure
- X will scope it out, and determine how much wood is needed
- Greg will provide a trailer and recruit volunteers to pick up the materials
- We will set a work date once we have the materials – target by the end of May
- Drainage ditches are flooding
- Possible the county will be able to address
- Shoreline
- With the fragmites gone, there is a lot of washout happening
- Carrie will call the county river keeper and get a recommendation for something to plant to stabilize the shore
- Gazebo
- Needs some stabilization, structure moves
- Likely needs some 4×4 cross bracing
- Roof will also need to be replaced, but can’t be done until bracing is done
- Target date by end of June for the bracing, fall for the roof
- Needs some stabilization, structure moves
- Shed
- Needs to be painted
- Eventually the floors need to be fixed, but not a priority
- Improvements
- Kayak rack
- Ideal setup would be for 6 kayaks
- Bob has a contact at a fabrication shop. Will check to see if he can build something sturdy and secure.
- Good location would be right behind the pump equipment.
- We will send around some ideas via email.
- Bench
- Would be nice to have a bench down by the water
- Basic bench with a back somewhere between the gazebo and the water
- Mike will look online for something inexpensive and suitable and send it to the board
- Paid for with HOA funds
- Kayak rack
- Dead trees in drainage ditch down by pier area
- Note: it’s not a creek, or a bed…it’s a ditch!
- Need approval from the county due to proximity to the water
- This will be another item for the list when we make contact with the county
Election of officers
- Elections at meeting on June 8th – in person (likely outdoor) meeting to allow for voting
- Anyone that cannot attend can hand a sealed envelope or send an email to an officer
- Anyone interested in being an officer should submit their name via email to any officer (or all)
- Current officers to submit desire to remain or resign by May 11th
- List of candidates will be finalized on May 25th, no more submissions after that date
