Bylaws and pier report and committee work.
John L is out of town.
I talked to him about 10 days ago, he mentioned that he was waiting for feedback on the bylaws and covenants and no one has gotten back to him.
But 2 months ago we did have a bit of input for the bylaws. Any how, we talked a few minutes about it….. they are 12-14 pages which is a lot to print out. So we can email them. We can send them out via email for everyone to review. Unfortunately we are going to have to table them for another month and then get them together.
There will be vote in the October meeting on the bylaws and covenants. Bylaws in final version will be emailed to everyone hopefully a week before the meeting which will be a vote meeting.
Kathy Mongold is willing to help to bring them to final draft.
Pier committee – We did get letters former the Rhode River Keeper and our county council member. The attorney says that the Rhode River Keeper letter is good. We are still waiting to hear back from the attorneys. The attorneys have not seen the letters yet. He was hoping by the end of August that they would be able to set up a planning meeting with planning and zoning. We need to get that note off the property plat. And I figure by next Wednesday, if I haven’t heard back from them by then, I’m going to contact them again. So that’s where we stand on the pier project. So we’re in limbo and moving forward at a snail’s pace. Once we get a meeting with planning and zoning, that’s when we’ll find out where we stand.
There was a note in our last minutes about putting a sign out the week of the meeting. Johnny, I may take you up on your sign ability. We just need a little sign about the size of the no trespassing sign. That way everyone will be aware and/or reminded that there is a meeting.
John M- Okay, I can do that.
Rita – I think that it would be nice if people let the host household to know whether or not they were coming. That way, they can plan on how many people are going to be there. So that they can have enough drink and food…..or whatever.
Don- I would like to make a standing committee…..we have a pier committee, a beautification/sign committee, a yard sale committee????? (Maybe we don’t really need a committee for that) , the recreational area committee (maintenance/etc). But I think these committees should be permanent and have chair people.
Anyone who wants to volunteer to help out with committee work is welcome.
Pier, Joe Z, Greg Whitesell, Ray, Joe R,
Sign and Beautification Rita, Joan and John, Anita
We need a major trimming…lets say Saturday sep 25 at 9am. We can just meet out there at the sign.
Just to let everyone know what’s going on with “OLD” Joe Redzensky – he’s going through radiation treatment for prostate cancer, and it makes him feel sick after the treatment.
Anything Else?
We need to remind everyone that DUES are Due September 1. So we need to see if Carrie can send out a bill to people. $100 per year or $50 in two 6 month payments, Sept1 and March 1.
Next meeting is October 12 at 7pm at Jan and Jo’s.
Motion Adjourned. Adjourned at 7:48pm.
