Other Issues:
Don is bringing in a bill for nails used on the pier. We shouldn’t owe anything in Taxes for 2014 because we are nonprofit.
That’s all I have for the treasurer’s report
JO Fyanes:
Projects:
Gazebo:
Let’s set up a Saturday to work on it.
Don: I think we put 2-3 new posts and repair it rather than tear it down and start from scratch.
Jo: I think that needs to be done.
Don: Let’s do it in the middle of May. Let’s do it on May 16th, a Saturday at 9am. Jo Z will be the coordinator. (Send out Notice and put notice on website:)
Don:
We have one tree down there that needs to be cut down, We can do it the same day. I’ve got a chain saw.
Pier updates:
Pilings- We need to cover 10-12 pilings down at the pier Joe Z has been working on it
Joe Z. Electric at the shed and getting out to the end of the pier may be an issue.
Jan: Electricians will come out and give an estimate, but they won’t pull the permit.
We were going to use flexible conduit and the electrician ended up
Jo: What’s the service:
Joe Z: 30 amp single phase.
Jo: I can call our electrician to get and estimate for electrical work. I’ll call Glenn and ask him about the power.
Greg W.: I’m concerned about the amount of water coming off Bob and Cathy’s property and running down the road. There is a lot of silt and it is all settling at the base of our pier. Before long there will not be any water underneath our pier.
Jo Z. : We should call the county and see if they can do something about the run-off.
Carrie: What about the county and getting new gravel?
Signage:
Don: All is good
We can have the county come in and fix the corner of the road coming into the neighborhood.
Don: I will bring tool to trim the grasses at the front.
Jo: We should look toward the end of the season and talk about having another crab feast.
all: YES
Carrie: Community Yard Sale? When is the church having theirs?
Consensus: NO, we don’t really need to worry about having one at all.
Carrie: We have Elections for officers in June.
Don: We name an election committee at the next meeting and have nominations, then vote in June.
NOTICE TO ALL: Anyone interested in running for RHHA Officer, please indicate so to an RHHA Officer or a member of the election committee, which will be assigned next meeting in May.
Jo: Next year Jan and I will probably spend the winter in Fla. That’s something to think about.
Consensus: Okay for officers to spend half the year in Florida. No worries. That’s okay. Motion approved.
Carrie: If we have a meeting in May, anyone interested in running for office should say so.
Next Meeting May 12, at Don’s house 7pm.
