{"id":50,"date":"2015-04-08T21:42:26","date_gmt":"2015-04-08T21:42:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rhodeharbor.com\/rhha\/?p=50"},"modified":"2015-08-19T12:45:09","modified_gmt":"2015-08-19T12:45:09","slug":"meeting-minutes-from-38th-rhha-meeting-04082015","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rhodeharbor.com\/?p=50","title":{"rendered":"Meeting Minutes from 38th RHHA Meeting \u2013 04\/08\/2015"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Rhode Harbor Homeowner&#8217;s Association Meeting \u00a004\/08\/15 7PM @ Jo and Jan&#8217;s<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>In Attendance:<br \/>\nJoe and Carrie Zambrana<br \/>\nDon Dunbar<br \/>\nTom Cavanaugh<br \/>\nAnita Herring<br \/>\nJan Kowalke<br \/>\nJo Fyanes<br \/>\nJason McHenry<br \/>\nGreg and Wendy Whitesell<\/p>\n<p>Recap of Minutes<br \/>\nMinutes Accepted and into Record (though not on website)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Carrie Z:<br \/>\n<strong><u>Treasury Report:<\/u><\/strong> as of 3\/31\/15<br \/>\n$3,109.60 Savings Balance<br \/>\nBank is Instituting a min of $300 or fees will be charged.<br \/>\n$175.75 Check Bal<br \/>\nExpenses Paid:<br \/>\nSafe Deposit Box Annual Fee $50<br \/>\n$117.44 for the Holiday Party<br \/>\n$202.36 Electric Bill Reimbursement<\/p>\n<p>One issue is that the Power Bill not coming, we need to look into that.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>RHHA Slip Fees:<\/u><\/strong> $300 per year annual fees\/bill is going out soon, will be going out to 3 slip holders and paid by the end of April.<\/p>\n<p>Herring, Zambrana and Whitesell currently hold slips<br \/>\nThere is still 1 slip available if anyone wants it. If so, please contact any RHHA Officer or Joe Zambrana.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Annual Dues 2015:<\/u><\/strong> The bills will be due in June. Bills going out soon. Cost is $100.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Arrearages:<\/u><\/strong><br \/>\nSpecial Assessment 2,300: 4 residents have not paid<br \/>\nDues in Arrears: $800<br \/>\nDues more than 2013: $200<br \/>\nPlus more from earlier years<br \/>\nWhen homes sell, the arrears are settled then<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Other Issues:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Don is bringing in a bill for nails used on the pier. We shouldn&#8217;t owe anything in Taxes for 2014 because we are nonprofit.<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s all I have for the treasurer&#8217;s report<\/p>\n<p>JO Fyanes:<br \/>\n<strong><u>Projects:<\/u><\/strong><br \/>\nGazebo:<br \/>\nLet&#8217;s set up a Saturday to work on it.<br \/>\nDon: I think we put 2-3 new posts and repair it rather than tear it down and start from scratch.<br \/>\nJo: I think that needs to be done.<br \/>\n<strong>Don: Let&#8217;s do it in the middle of May. \u00a0Let&#8217;s do it on May 16th, a Saturday at 9am. Jo Z will be the coordinator. \u00a0(Send out Notice and put notice on website:)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Don:<br \/>\nWe have one tree down there that needs to be cut down, We can do it the same day. I&#8217;ve got a chain saw.<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><u>Pier updates:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Pilings- We need to cover 10-12 pilings down at the pier Joe Z has been working on it<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Joe Z. Electric at the shed and getting out to the end of the pier may be an issue.<br \/>\nJan: Electricians will come out and give an estimate, but they won&#8217;t pull the permit.<br \/>\nWe were going to use flexible conduit and the electrician ended up<br \/>\nJo: What&#8217;s the service:<br \/>\nJoe Z: 30 amp single phase.<br \/>\nJo: I can call our electrician to get and estimate for electrical work. I&#8217;ll call Glenn and ask him about the power.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Greg W.: I&#8217;m concerned about the amount of water coming off Bob and Cathy&#8217;s property and running down the road. There is a lot of silt and it is all settling at the base of our pier. Before long there will not be any water underneath our pier.<\/p>\n<p>Jo Z. : We should call the county and see if they can do something about the run-off.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Carrie: What about the county and getting new gravel?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Signage:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Don: All is good<\/p>\n<p>We can have the county come in and fix the corner of the road coming into the neighborhood.<br \/>\nDon: I will bring tool to trim the grasses at the front.<\/p>\n<p>Jo: We should look toward the end of the season and talk about having another crab feast.<br \/>\nall: YES<\/p>\n<p>Carrie: <strong><u>Community Yard Sale?<\/u><\/strong> When is the church having theirs?<br \/>\nConsensus: NO, we don&#8217;t really need to worry about having one at all.<\/p>\n<p>Carrie: We have <strong><u>Elections<\/u><\/strong> for officers in June\ufffd.<\/p>\n<p>Don: We name an election committee at the next meeting and have nominations, then vote in June.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>NOTICE TO ALL:<\/u><\/strong> Anyone interested in running for RHHA Officer, please indicate so to an RHHA Officer or a member of the election committee, which will be assigned next meeting in May.<\/p>\n<p>Jo: Next year Jan and I will probably spend the winter in Fla. That&#8217;s something to think about.<br \/>\nConsensus: Okay for officers to spend half the year in Florida. No worries. That&#8217;s okay.
