Pier power bill<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Question: Where do dues go\n<ul>\n<li>Hoa fee is only $100 per year<\/li>\n<li>Money goes to care for common areas: Pier and entry sign\n<ul>\n<li>Repairs<\/li>\n<li>Electric, monthly<\/li>\n<li>Insurance, annual ($439)<\/li>\n<li>County stormwater fee, annual ($78.87)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>15 properties x $100 year = $1500 per year\n<ul>\n<li>Provided everyone pays<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Keep a reserve for unexpected expenses<\/li>\n<li>We do a lot of sweat equity to keep costs down<\/li>\n<li>Try to use donated materials whenever possible, purchased when necessary<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Next meeting<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>June 8th<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Concerns<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pier road condition\n<ul>\n<li>Carrie has reached out to the county several times, but not gotten a response.<\/li>\n<li>Suggestion is that everyone calls to &#8220;encourage&#8221; them to fix the road<\/li>\n<li>Point of contact is Jessica Hare (Councilperson for our area)<\/li>\n<li>Bob has talked to the service workers and has a contact card.&nbsp; Will look for the info.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Neighborhood Sign\n<ul>\n<li>Definitely needs some work &#8211; wood rot<\/li>\n<li>Carrie got some contact info for people that do that kind of work.&nbsp; If we decide to keep the sign, she can reach out for an estimate for replacement\/restoration.<\/li>\n<li>Question of whether we want to keep the sign\n<ul>\n<li>Pro: It indicates to other people that the neighborhood and our pier are private property.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>If being kept, we need to organize a project to refresh the damaged wood.<\/li>\n<li>Likely will need 8-10 6x6s<\/li>\n<li>Greg volunteers to do a magician &#8220;table cloth trick&#8221; with the dirt in the enclosure<\/li>\n<li>X will scope it out, and determine how much wood is needed<\/li>\n<li>Greg will provide a trailer and recruit volunteers to pick up the materials<\/li>\n<li>We will set a work date once we have the materials &#8211; target by the end of May<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Drainage ditches are flooding\n<ul>\n<li>Possible the county will be able to address<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Shoreline\n<ul>\n<li>With the fragmites gone, there is a lot of washout happening<\/li>\n<li>Carrie will call the county river keeper and get a recommendation for something to plant to stabilize the shore<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Gazebo\n<ul>\n<li>Needs some stabilization, structure moves\n<ul>\n<li>Likely needs some 4&#215;4 cross bracing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Roof will also need to be replaced, but can&#8217;t be done until bracing is done<\/li>\n<li>Target date by end of June for the bracing, fall for the roof<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Shed\n<ul>\n<li>Needs to be painted<\/li>\n<li>Eventually the floors need to be fixed, but not a priority<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Improvements\n<ul>\n<li>Kayak rack\n<ul>\n<li>Ideal setup would be for 6 kayaks<\/li>\n<li>Bob has a contact at a fabrication shop.&nbsp; Will check to see if he can build something sturdy and secure.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Good location would be right behind the pump equipment.<\/li>\n<li>We will send around some ideas via email.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Bench\n<ul>\n<li>Would be nice to have a bench down by the water<\/li>\n<li>Basic bench with a back somewhere between the gazebo and the water<\/li>\n<li>Mike will look online for something inexpensive and suitable and send it to the board<\/li>\n<li>Paid for with HOA funds<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Dead trees in drainage ditch down by pier area\n<ul>\n<li>Note: it&#8217;s not a creek, or a bed\u2026it&#8217;s a ditch!<\/li>\n<li>Need approval from the county due to proximity to the water<\/li>\n<li>This will be another item for the list when we make contact with the county<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Election of officers<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Elections at meeting on June 8th &#8211;
