{"id":140,"date":"2010-06-08T19:56:18","date_gmt":"2010-06-08T19:56:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rhodeharbor.com\/?p=140"},"modified":"2015-08-19T19:56:50","modified_gmt":"2015-08-19T19:56:50","slug":"meeting-minutes-from-rhha-vote-on-pier-special-meeting-682010","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rhodeharbor.com\/?p=140","title":{"rendered":"Meeting Minutes from RHHA \u201cVote on Pier\u201d special Meeting \u2013 6\/8\/2010"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Minutes for Meeting to Vote on Pier Committee Hiring and Attorney to move forward on pier project.<\/p>\n<p>6\/8\/2010 at 7:00pm at Rita and Don\u2019s<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Meeting Agenda: There will be a vote on whether or not to allow the pier committee to hire an attorney to assist in the pier permit process.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Don- Purpose of the meeting is to get a consensus on what direction we\u2019re heading with the pier and with the attorney guys.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Don &#8211; Out of 5 proxy votes, we have 4 in Favor and 1 negative. I also got one more investor. Do you guys want to discuss anything, or do you guys just want to move forward?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The money that is put fourth, will eventually go toward the lease of a slip. There is no guarantee we will get anything. If people don\u2019t have money, it doesn\u2019t mean that they will never get a slip. People who put up money, will be given priority on a lease for an available slip.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Anita- I agree with that. That\u2019s fair.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Rita \u2013 Some people who put up money may loose it all.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Don \u2013 That\u2019s right.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Don: We\u2019ve been working on this thing for a year. We need to move forward on this. We\u2019re in the same place we were a year ago.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Don: One more note before we go on&#8230;.Bylaw, we will be working on during the next meeting and no one has sent in any comments. We need to send out another email reminding people of the meeting on the 22 and that they need to send in their comments.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Don: Discussion on setting up a separate account to manage pier funds at request of treasurer.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Greg: Motion on the floor to \u201cVote to open separate pier account\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Bob: Second<\/p>\n<p>Voice Vote:<\/p>\n<p>Unanimously approved.<\/p>\n<p>(An account to be set up for the purpose of the pier fund&#8230;..but should not affect the timely writing of the check needed to retain the services of the attorney.
